About 4 months ago Carly and I saw a photographer/cinematographer create the most amazing video birth announcement. When a client approached us about doing a creative gender reveal, Carly had the idea of doing a video announcement. We searched YouTube, Vimeo, and Google and no one had done a video like we were envisioning. We wanted to tell a story of a family’s experience of discovering the gender of their new baby, and help them share this joy with their friends and family.
We filmed this from 12:30-2:30 and had it up on our Vimeo page at 5:00 that same day. The video went up on Facebook and within 24 hours, the video had 300 views, 50 comments and 11 reposts. People loved the experience of feeling like they were with their friends as they discovered their new babies gender.
